A Note From Sandi
Hi! This is where I am to write my BIO and tell people all about me, where I am from & what my music is like. In other words "brag" about myself in the third person. But guess what? I'm going to do something a little different! Here it goes!
Recently a song came on the radio by Casting Crowns and the lyrics said:
"I don’t want to leave a legacy
I don’t care if they remember me
And I, I’ve only got one life to live
I’ll let every second point to Him
If this wasn't the truth I could not write down or echo these words. It's not about me. Only Jesus. I want to make a difference in people's lives through the strength & power that He gives me. I don't want fame or fortune or to be a fad. Music is a gift & a tool to bring a message of hope & healing into people's lives.
Here's a bit of my story.
(Okay, it will be in third person!)
Music has always been the heartbeat of Sandi Padilla, born and raised in Sacramento, California. Her first debut was singing for church at the age of six and she became a budding songwriter by age thirteen, performing at youth camps and church services. After attending Biola University and Sacramento State University as a vocal performance major Sandi's first solo project showcased her melodic and transparent pop songs in 1987.
Known for her powerful, lyrical soprano voice her range and versatility have opened the doors for Padilla to perform professionally. She has graced the stage with well known Christian artists like Darlene Zchech (Hillsong), Sarah Kelly, and Lincoln Brewster (Integrity). Having teamed up with keyboardist, producer and husband Steve Padilla, they have released multiple albums delivering innovative pop/rock and modern worship songs.
Sandi's involvement in the music industry ranges from working for professional recording studios and management companies to coaching recording artists and songwriters, lending her talents as a background vocalist; to speaking and leading worship at churches and conferences. As a multi-instrumentalist Padilla plays the piano, guitar, bass, ukulele and the Hammered Dulcimer and offers high energy performances to audiences of all ages.
Upon relocating to Colorado Springs, CO from California eight months ago Sandi has quickly become involved in the songwriting community and sings in the fantastic one hundred voice choir known as Soli Deo Gloria. On April 27th Sandi has been selected to be a featured soloist in their Spring concert. Recently she enjoyed sharing the stage and her original songs with Jared Anderson (New Life Church) at the Songwriter's Circle in the Springs to an enthusiastic full house at Third Space Coffee.
Most Sunday mornings you can find Sandi singing at Heart of the Springs Church as well as streaming peaceful, healing music in the evenings over the Internet. Currently Sandi is recording a new project that will accompany the book she is writing with the working title "The Frequency of Healing". The book will chronicle her spiritual journey and how God healed her of anxiety, fear, and depression and is set for release in summer of 2019.
